Do not think discussions of your money, prolly should not be part of,a herapy session, You might ask about whether you
can change therapist .. or you need to ask if your therapy sessions might not include , discussions about finances.
It is important to feel comfy with your therapist.!

Social workers aren't typically therapists though.

Kitty, you're not obliged to talk about money with your social worker, but you're able to if you're comfortable with them.

I have support worker who takes me out to places and does stuff, so if I am going to get food or buy items in store she will check if she needs to assist with budget or if i have enough when I give her my card to get items for me and I wait in the car.

Not inherently, but it is a necessity/comfort thing. Social workers aren't necessarily qualified to offer financial advice, but they do often have access to lists of various programs that exist to help their clients deal with financial issues. Things like discounted utilities and possibly money management courses.
