I was recently diagnosed with Autism and formerly diagnosed with ADHD some years ago. I am 40 with some significant career and academic achievements, and with that a lot of burnout.

I am also Black and gay and so the social rejection that came with my undiagnosed AuDHD along with pervasive racism and homophobia from family, coworkers, former friends and etc. has lead me to a life of isolation and really just making from moment to moment.

I find myself able to work but constantly being bullied so badly for not socializing like others, that I find myself constantly moving from job to job. I have no social support, friends, or family.

I’d love to connect with some folks digitally and eventually also IRL and remember what it’s like to be around people again. I am a creative professional in marketing, a gamer, I love food, tech, and music (and more). Let’s connect. :D

I'm the same age as you and received a diagnosis at the age of 33. I was bouncing around from job to job
and was quite unhappy in the work I was doing. I had been a professional musician though at that point I was working in entry level jobs. I can relate to the isolation.
I am also a creative though my background is in music and screenwriting.
I'm from Canada.

There may be autism related organizations in your area. I connected with one and utilized their therapy group supports, though I've decided to break off association with them indefinitely. I didn't find them to be terribly useful.

The isolation is something you just have to deal with unless you can get more people in your life.
Having a long term goal can help.
