I am a local michigander myself (born & raised), and honestly it's very nice. Stay out some parts of Detroit, see Canada across the river. Maybe go to traverse city.

There are many beautiful hikes there and many birds.

I would never want to live there for multiple reasons. However I do want to go there when its not cold.Also another reason why I would never want to live there is because there is not a heavy church of Christ presence like in Texas and the South.

I don't really have an opinion. I never been there & I don't hear much about it which is probably a good thing because when the news media talks about a certain place a lot it is usually bad.

As a Canadian, I don't think you want to hear my opinion about any American state right now. Blue states really don't matter to me since they allow the red states and the orange clown to plague us.

One exception is Hawaii. But Hawaii should be an independent country or a part of Asia and not the USA. But the USA won't happy until it owns everything.

I understand that feeling Unfortunately some of the blue states are too small & have too little influence. Vermont only has one rep in the US congress. Most of the influence we have has been related to Bernie Sanders.

The US supposedly annexed Hawaii for military defensive purposes. I heard Hawaiians are divided on wanting to remain part of the US or become independent again. My worry about them becoming independent is that other countries might bully them trying to unofficially take over.
