Who still watch TV shows aimed at preschoolers i.e Nick Jr, Disney Jr, or PBS Kids?

I didn't even like these sorts of shows as a preschooler.

Nope.

And in preschool age, I don't exactly remember watching a lot of TV.

Never had ever recalled watching any preschool shows or anything meant for toddlers and preschoolers.
Only kid shows I ever watch at that age was one that always features arts and crafts or drawing.

Did not watch a lot of TV and cartoons until I turned 7. Started binging at 8 to a point of ruining sleep over it.
Never stopped until it's replaced into binging the internet and gaming as soon as my household got their hands on an internet connection.

I have a preschooler, so yes.

Some of it is really bad, especially on YouTube, but some of it's decent. It's been fun getting him into shows I liked in the past, like Blue's Clues, Magic School Bus, Busy World, etc. And some stuff I didn't get to watch when I was a kid, like Thomas the Tank Engine.

I've never lost my fondness for Watch With Mother:

Then there was Tales Of The Riverbank:

But liking kid's shows as an adult has never been considered a bad thing in the circles I've moved in, at least in the UK. Just charmingly eccentric at worst.

When I was a preschooler, I really liked Mr. Roger’s and Reading Rainbow. As an adult, I’d probably still find Mr. Roger’s soothing/good for anxiety as I did when I was a kid, not that I’ve tried it. Hearing his voice in interviews sometimes does the trick.

For the most part, though, I preferred watching movies, so I mostly watched movies. We didn’t always have access to TV stations, either.

Mostly, no.

However, I confess I do sort of enjoy Teletubbies when I stumble across them.

It is targeted for very young children. Roughly speaking, children tend to outgrow the series when they have their first birthday.

What's my excuse? I see it is an odd science fiction show.

I will admit I've come to appreciate a lot of the Muppets bits on Sesame Street as an adult, but I didn't even like the regular Muppets show as a kid.

Sometimes but not recently

I used to watch PAW Patrol but I fell out of it...

I forgot to mention Bagpuss, The Clangers, and Ivor The Engine. I was already "way too old" for them before I found them, but nobody tells me what I'm allowed to like, which paradoxically is one benefit of becoming an adult.

I really lliked some of the Nick Jr shows when I was a kid. I would like to watch some of them again but the Nick Jr channel airs newer shows nowadays. Perhaps some of the older shows are on Paramount Plus :chin: However I would not be interested in watching other preschool shows. I think there's a nostalgia factor for me.

Yes I never like the remakes, so I guess there's an element of nostalgia in it, or maybe the remakes really are worse and the world is simply going south.

Another one I like is Popeye (the original series with Bluto in it, not the "all new" ones where they call him Brutus for some weird copyright reasons). It's not really a pre-school show at all, and seems more designed for adults, but I was glued to it in my pre-school years. They've got them all on YouTube in very good quality, so as it's all out of copyright I downloaded the whole set and watched them all. It was fun finding out which bits I remembered. It's the first thing I ever saw on TV, so it's among my earliest memories.

Yup, they have quite a few.
There are a couple on Pluto TV and/or Tubi, but last I checked, the good ones like Blue's Clues were only on P+.
They have a few episodes on YouTube as well, but mostly it's all clips and compilations.

At some point they split them into two separate characters. Brothers, I think.

You could be right, though I've not been able to find that yet. There is this:

" In 1959 Bluto’s beardless twin brother, Burlo, made his debut in the dailies."
But that's in the strip cartoons.
https://www.boomermagazine.com/ninety-y ... it-brutus/

Blutology could make a great special interest. Here's the weird legal reasons behind the name change - turns out that Brutus was the result of King Features doing some sloppy research, and that he needn't have existed at all if they hadn't been scared of litigation.
