I see a lot of topics about how social junk sucks, but no topics about interaction.

So, who actually really wants to be friends/chat buddies? No stress involved.

I'm 19/m/cal and willing to do social stuff with anyone around my age group if anybody wants to. If anyone's interested then just post your yahoo/msn/email/whatever here or PM me and I can give my information out. My reasons? To have another aspie to talk to. Your reasons? Help shape your social skills. Actually, there is no reason really other than interest.

I'm an open-minded, nice person. So no worries.

Wel, I already get help with social situation but having a fellow aspie as a friend is a good idea. Count me in. :)

LOL! When I finally figured it that it didn't matter whether people liked me or not, and that it didn't matter why or why not, it took a lot of stress off me. I don't have to strain myself to try to be liked and ending up making a horse's behind out of myself trying to be "social." I'm no good at small talk, never know what to say and got tired of the strange looks I got when I tried, and the embarrassing silence that follows my attempts to repeat jokes. I can be funny just making cracks about something but just don't seem to be able to tell jokes...so I don't worry about it anymore. Very liberating when it doesn't matter.
