Anyone else see the episode that just came out with the Autistic boy? What did you guys think?

I think it was decent and pretty fair. I also didn't think the ending was meant to be a cop-out "he's better now" but more like he loved his dad so much he was making a grand gesture, though I think some people might take it the wrong way.

I read the book years ago...(in the grim days when I ONLY read King!) They started showing the tv show on channel 5, but I don't think it's on anymore. Cancelled?

I don't think that it's cancelled, I think that it is one of those shows that was show briefly on broadcast television, and then was cancelled and immediately picked up by a cable television channel. I don't know what channel -- I don't have cable television -- but I think that's where it is now. In the US, at least.

If you have Sky or cable, they show it here on the SciFi Channel.

Oh it's barely like the book at all at this point, but I had nothing better to do. It's the only episode i've watched all the way through.

Its pretty weird seeing Anthony Michael Hall in that sort of role though... I mean when you've seen his teen movies, heh.

that is the only episode i've ever seen too, and i liked it a lot. that boy did a really good job. yeah, not much like the book, but kind of fun to see anthony michael hall all grown up. he is very surpisingly ungeeky these days. i never knew that kind of thing could go away.

I have been watching the show regularly ever since seeing that episode. It is a really good show!

The show is a really good show. I saw the Christmas episode a couple days ago. I liked that episode the best. They've got a lot of funny diologue.

yeah, that was a good one. almost made me cry. i love happy endings
