Any other guys readily identify with this? I'm not talking about clearly dysfunctional girls, I'm talking about girls that are just so "weird" that you just HAVE to get a crush on them. Am I sick? Is this normal? What possible benefit could this strange attraction have?

They have to be insane. Well, they have to
desire me, and that means that they're not
stable.

What's weird?

I say yes... but only to the point that I find myself attracted to girls who act differently than normal girls.

Girls seem to follow trends together... and I find that annoying. Anything that indicates original thought... kind of attractive.

"Weird" in the sense of completely random and crazy... in the sense that they look dysfunctional... Well I don't find that attractive at all.

Actually Ive had crushes on older women before, but never grandma-old women, thats friggin weird.
I was hesitant to even respond to this one but Ill have to say yeah, because all the girls Ive had strong feelings for ended up being insecure b*****s in the end. I really hope things wont turn out that way this time around.... :D

Speaking of Weird and Seinfeld references... I was always attracted to George's accountant girlfriend who goes to the mental hospital. George was lucky to have her... heck George was lucky to have any of his girlfriends...

I wouldn't mind chop-sticks or Papier-mâché hats... maybe.

Well...I'm weird...and I did manage to marry once upon a time, it may not have worked out in the long run...but he always told me part of the reason he first liked me was because I was "different".

Unfortunately "different" also made him crazy.

One thing...."weird" isn't, and I'm sure my ex would even agree...it isn't boring.

absolutely. as long as the average is so boring and shallow, how can you feel anything positive for it? (i.e. not being turned off instantly)

It's funny that someone mentioned this topic. I get crushes on "weird" girls sometimes, although I like some mainstream girls as well. For instance, one time, I ended up having a conversation with this girl on a train. She was wearing a hair decoration of some sorts, a T-shirt with an artistic graphic on the front, and carried a backpack with numerous buttons and badges on it. Overall, she had an artsy/hippie vibe, in a good way. Judging from how comfortably she talked to me, she was probably NT, but her outlook on life seemed aspie-like. For instance, she said she hates cars, complained how daily life becoming increasingly dehumanized, mentioned the book Brave New World (which I already read), talked about how our society hates people who are different, and even offered me some Gummy Worms.

Most people who stood within hearing range had weirded-out looks on their faces, which only proved what she told me. Nonetheless, something about her seems to have struck a very pleasant chord with me. She wasn't the physical type I'm normally attracted to, but I was amazed at how easily I could understand her beliefs. I was going ask for her phone number (ironically, I didn't feel nervous about doing that), but she mentioned her boyfriend (while talking about the few people she could relate to) at one point during the train ride. Now it's been over a week since it happened, but I still find myself thinking about her. That girl reminded me that there are people out there who still are tolerant of differences.

I would like to point out that my vote makes the ratio 8:0:1, making the percentages 88%:0%:11%, adding up to 99%. I love repeating decimals.

No one here's attracted to you... nope not a one.

You can just go on and keep trying to be normal...

:D

Yeah, I probably don't qualify as weird. Quirky... peculiar ...freaky... sure.

I should dye my hair green, study entomology, and quit shaving my legs.
