I was friends with this unattractive autistic boy in the elementary school daycare in grade 3 and 4, until the other kids started picking on me for hanging out with him, so I joined in, making signs saying "Zachary is not allowed in our club" and being mean to him like the others.

At the bus stop in elementary school, I used to make fun of this girl who wore "bobos" for shoes. They are the back and white shiny shoes girls wore back in the 1980's. I would sing the song:

"Bobos, they're just a $1.49...I say bobos, they make your feet feel fine."

OR

"We're going to walk down to...K-Mart to buy our shoes...they only cost a dollar."

When I was about 7 I tied my friend up and tried to brainwash him.

It seemed to work but looking back he was probably pretending because he was scared.

I didn't know I was scaring him or bullying him at the time.

To me it was just an interesting experiment.

I had seen it in a film on TV and I wanted to see if it would work.

I was pleased with the result at the time but now realise he was just saying anything so I would untie him.

:D

yes, I was mean to a few kids in elementary, but I was also the victum of meanness much more then I was mean, still not making it right, and I do feel bad about it, like I stooped to their level and was no better then they were.

In freshmen year of college I hung out with a group of kids. We were kind of nerdy video game buddies. Anyways the group always made fun of this one kid behind the back when he wasn't with us. He was kind of skinny and had dark hair and glasses so they were always calling him Waldo (from the Where's Waldo books).

On day they got together and photoshoped a picture of him standing in the trees and made it into a Where's Waldo picture. They put the stripped shirt and hat on him and added a bunch of other silly things to the image then emailed the image to him. I participated and got a chuckle out of it but in hindsight is was kind of mean.

I'm sure they made fun of me behind my back too and just didn't say anything in front of me. They were all kind of nerdy looking themselves though.

I have. In primary school, I was mean to other kids.

I have not, in my entire life, maliciously bullied or made fun of anyone.

Apart from my elder brother...but he always treated me badly so it was just an eye for an eye and it's sibling's right, so it doesn't count...

That's more or less what I do. I don't like making people feel bad unless they're nasty themselves.

I even feel bad when I was mean to someone who was mean first.
Because I feel like I've sunk to their level

I must admit to being quite cruel to people sometimes. Even now I can be exceptionally spiteful if I so choose.

Not something I'm proud of, mind you, but there it is.

I will openly admit that I am prone to meanness, especially on the internet. It usually has to do with the way I feel inside and not the person themselves, but it still doesn't make it right.
