I thought I'd have a bit of fun here

Come on everyone you must think some band names are a bit stupid and some songs can be a stupid.

Types some of what you think are stupid.

I hate it when people sing words that don't exist eg shoobedoobedoo or something equally moronic

It might seem silly, but shoobeedoo's and bop bop areebobs are just examples of using the voice as an instrument. What's the meaning of a line played on a trumpet? And what about listening to music in another language?

Nothing wrong with a little melisma...

I recently heard of a band called "We Smoke Fags". Made me giggle.

The one I think takes the cake is the website Yahoo. I think the illiterate idiots who named the site thought it was the same expression as Wahoo!! ! , a Western U.S. exclamation for delight and expectation of happy adventure. A “Yahoo” is an ignorant, vile human first mentioned in “Gulliver’s Travels.”

NEVER listen to The Flying Pickets. Trust me, you'd hate it

Years ago there was a band from Seattle named "Seafood Mama"

Some of the current band names are stupid and others are even obscene. I wouldn't know most of today's artists if I didn't watch VH1 occasionally.

but then there some awesome ones:

The Number Twelve Looks Like You

all of these are grindcore bands for stupid song names go here or here, but there lyrics are just as good

Too late there already listened to Only You by Flying Picketts

One does come to mind and that is a song which came out in the early 80s by a band called Ultravox they sang a song called 'We Stood Still'

The Goo Goo Dolls is one of my favorite bands, but I must admit I think they could have picked a much better name for themselves.

Is there a band called Flying Spaghetti Monster? That would be cool!

There's a band in Cleveland called "Hostile Omish" (pronounced like Amish.) Their CD is entitled "As the World Churns." I thought it was ridiculously clever .
