I'm a guy who is curious about a previous topic that I started here on this forum from the female perspective.

Hate's more fun in the open, though.

I've got a feeling most women aren't as concerned with looks as guys seem to be. The thread for guys on this topic makes me want to kick something really hard every time I look at it. No, I'm not attracted to guys who are obese or really really short (sorry...), but other than that, it's all about the emotional and intellectual connection for me.

The perfect guy for me:

Doesn't take everything that comes out of my mouth too seriously
Can communicate how they're feeling (written is fine); I can't stand that passive aggressive crap
Is intelligent and likes having intelligent conversations (if they can actually follow my train of thought, that's a big plus)
Is interested in some of the same stuff I'm interested in
Is ok with just hanging out and doesn't need to be entertained (i.e., always going out)
Is a little weird

I only see the perfect man at Christmastime. He's that cute, little thing made out of gingerbread with the candy buttons down the
front of his suit jacket. When he gets out of hand, you can easily bite his head off. Quite deliciously, too!

Sex with food is fun.

I find this ironic: 5 men have posted in here (including myself), and only 2 women...lol.

I prefer taller males, and physical strength is a must as it is a sort of fetish of mine, I guess.
I Hate facial hair though I would tolerate it with right person. Just it itches so much and ages the person.
Clean...ie, they wash and don't stink as I have sensitive smell.

Able to talk when needed, but also able to shut up when I get overwhelmed and need space
Content to sleep in separate beds, or a really damn huge bed lol as I find I cannot sleep in the presence of someone else very well.
Reasonable sex drive and not ashamed to use it as I am quite sexual, but have intimacy issues.
Helps with shopping
Shares passion for music and film
Is able to talk things over
Is able to deal with me when I meltdown
Is not physically violent and would not hit me
Has a romantic, heroic streak
Is passionate... as I have a very passionate nature beneath my issues.

Intelligent
Logical thinker
Says what he means, means what he says
Honest
Faithful
Has goals (meaningful ones)
Isn't needy (emotionally or physically)
Can match my sex drive
Good father to his children
Cares about something (I don't care what, just something in this world)
College educated, or has a trade of some kind equivalent

Also, I prefer a guy taller than me, and good looks don't hurt.

And when I found this guy, I married him.
