Mozart, Thomas Jefferson, and Dan Ackroyd are a few I know of...

Oh - Marie Curie was one too, they say.

I heard about Jefferson being an Aspie but I find it hard to believe. After all, he was a pretty good diplomat during his tenure as ambassador to France.

I personally think the president most likely to have had Asperger's Syndrome was Calvin Coolidge...

If Michael Palin ever came out and said he had AS, I think I'd be a lot more comfortable with the concept of having it myself. I genuinely like him.

What good does it do to slap this label on people who are already dead?

Why John Denver? He seemed shy and talented... I can't see much beyond that.

Michael Palin doesn't seem likely to be an Aspie, IMO. Where did that come from?

I was fascinated to read once that some suspect, that you guessed it........Adolf Hitler had autistic traits which if true would make him potentialy the most famous aspie. I dont know if its true or not I just thought it was curious.

there needs to be a parody thread of this too

these things pop up like every hour. omg I heard Einstein had AS. what? Einstein was dead before it was even discovered, and who did you "hear this from"? God whispered in your ear?

then we get someone like Akyroyd, who clearly isn't AS, and said he was as a joke. guess what, now everyone is saying he had it too!

I might be wrong here but I think

Damon Albarn from Blur/Gorrillaz/The Good The Bad and The Queen might have AS because in one of the Blur albums most of it is based upon him having social problems. Anyway how many people would come up with a cartoon band who wasn't aspie.

One thing I think of when I see these threads: I thought those on the 'trum didn't care for popularity, people's standing and people's accomplishments (that's what they say anyway)? I mean, I don't give a...perfectly dictated note of never-ending numerals if the universe itself is autistic, big deal; it means nothing to me.

People and their groups.
