I like sports games like Madden and Baseball.

Way back in time when there was only regular nintendo, or SNES the games had limited memory and didn't keep track of your team's statistics. I would do it manually, keeping track of all the players batting average, home runs, earned run average, etc. It was more fun than the game itself sometimes. I filled dozens of notebooks with my stats. I even compiled career stats over the course of many seasons.

Now the games keep track of a lot, but it's still fun to follow the "players".

MISSING OPTION: Real Time Strategy!! ! Like as in the most anticipated game sequel of all time (well, in S. Korea at least) STARCRAFT II.

I can't say... my favorite game of all time is SSBM (soon to be Brawl) a fighting game.

My favorite Series is Simcity.

My fondest video game memories are from Final Fantasy.

If I were to narrow it down, RPG is my favorite. I probably own more RPGs than any other games... but that's only because I am trying in vain to find a game that touches me on the same level that Final Fantasy IV, VI and Chrono Trigger did.

I don't know, it varies with time, but I'm voting for adventure because I have a lot of Zelda games.

Graphic adventures (a la Monkey Island or Grim Fandango) and some RPG's (ones along the lines of Planescape: Torment or Arcanum). Also I tend to generally be into games with gothic visual styles (American McGee's Alice).

The poll needs to be more clear--is "shoot 'em up" as in Doom, or as in Raiden and Gradius?

I prefer action RPGs, but I don't like turn based RPGs.
