I used to pretty much NEVER have a problem. I'm STILL not THAT bad. Anyway, I doubt many here will say AS makes spelling worse.

I cannot spell very well. It;s as if spelling is too much of a mundane detail for my brain to consider

I've always been very good at spelling. Math, on the other hand, is something I struggle with to a degree...

Spelling and handwriting are both very bad with me. The penmanship is probably because my fine motor skills suck. The spelling...I think It's because of how I read. I see words as symbols in and of themselves, not collections of sounds. I read really, really fast though.

All I can say is thank god for spellcheck :) .

All my life I've been a great speller, and my handwriting very neat. But lately I've been getting rusty with both.

I think most Aspies are pretty good spellers. And NLDers tend to be awesome spellers. Pathological difficulties with spelling are more often related to verbal learning disorders like dyslexia.

i'm a terrible speller & my handwriting is pretty bad too - sometimes i use the bad handwriting to my advantage... it makes it harder for other people to tell if i spelled something right or not

Even lately I've started realizing how bad it feels to be corrected.

I've been a good speller since about 4th grade but I hate it when I spell simple words wrong on here because it makes me look stupid.

I'm much better now than I was when I first joined WP; I don’t even bother with Word and its spellchecker now. That old adage applies to me, I guess: practice makes...good enough.

Supposedly, I have a good vocabulary too, the AS psycho said; I'm a good parrot I said.
