A friend showed me these pages a few days ago, and I figured it'd make for an interesting thread. Far more in-depth than the old "Asperger Syndrome Types" video on youtube.
Anyway, which of these do you think sounds most like you (not "I'm a little of this, with a bit of that, etc... rather, which one comes the closest to describing you. For the sake of the poll, if nothing else).

Logic type (link)

Rule type (link)

Emotion type (link) (note that this one has 5 sub-categories, Paranoid type, Fantasy type, Anxiety type, Resistant type and Negative type)

I think I'm most likely an Anxiety type, but I've asked my ex for a second opinion before I vote in the poll.

I was tempted to pick cabbage, but then I went with logic. I am a rationalizer 95% of the time, although my emotions do come out every Monday thru Thursday at 11:00 PM for a little Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. (and occasionally south park after)

The only time my emotions get the better of me, though, is when these computers start doing weird things that I don't want them to do... Then, I can become somewhat agitated, but I can control it in public. The only time I just let the hate flow through me is when I'm at my desk. Hmm, maybe I should get a punching bag for my room...

PS: small touches of anxiety and fantasy...

I think you forgot the ADHD type.
I seem to be a mixture of that, fantasy and the resistant to be honest as I have strong features of all three, but primarily ADHD + fantasy

Crap, didn't notice that... I guess it's lucky that I added a nonsense option - ADHD types can just vote "Cabbage" :P
(Note: This isn't meant to be an insult)

I am primarily a Paranoid type (not too severe though), then a Logic, then a negative.

I would be primarily "Rule boy" (but I am a female) but would also be "paranoid boy" but not as severe.

First of all, greetings to all of you as this is my first post (I just created my account). I first learned about the Asperger syndrome about 4-5 years ago from random readings on the internet (I was 20 years old back then, 25 now), and most of what I read described my general personality and most of my behaviors pretty accuratly. I never received a clinical diagnostic, and never really did anything after my own "self-diagnostic", thought the possibility of being an asperger kept coming back as I was rarely perceived as a normal person by my family or peers.

As until today I never really was 100% sure as whether I had AS or not, but the "Logical Boy" type described me even more precisely than what I've read about AS in the past 5 years. 99% sure about myself being an asperger as my writing this. So... hello to all of you!

I think I veer towards paranoid. :(

I'm not sure... I think I'm somewhere in the Anxiety type and OCD..."How many dots are in that ceiling tile over his head?" kinda hit home.

hmm... I would say I'm paranoid boy but there's also a couple of things there that seem just a tad too much for me to fall into that category entirely... but there are things I can relate to as well, and quite strongly. But then again, angry/resistent boy seems kinda like me as well...
Not sure how easy it is, violentcloud, to set aspies into just one category.

edit: hmm actually there isn't much of angry/resistent boy in me at all... a tiny bit of it but really not that much.

Logic and Fantasy.

My understanding of the world is ruled exactly like they described of the Logic Boy.

But internally what drives me is Fantasy. In the past my Fantasy was exactly like they described of the Fantasy Boy. I am still pulled to the same Fantasy stories I experienced as a child, mostly in video games. I can go back to these memories, play the tape as they say to this day.

Nowadays, my fantasy seems connected to the real world. My mind extrapolates and imagines too many possible connections with my surroundings. Outside of external factors, my fantasy sort of fizzles. I can't be creative just to be creative, it must connect to something.

I am a Rule boy and Fantasy type. I also have anxiety too but have found coping stratagies. I used to be the Resistant type too when I was 16. I am somewhat paranoid but I don't get violent and have to destroy theings first so that's off the list.
