Are you a good person or "good person"?

My mother has said I was a good person, but that was many years ago. I've been told I have a good heart by asomeone at the Y, I've been called moral by someone online... dunno if they'd say the same if they knew some stuff I did (that I don't plan to do again).

I would say that I'm a good person.

People see good traits in me, and I think I'm a good person. Lately I've been off.

I've been told that, and I admit, I try to be nice. I think it's because Aspies tend to be kind of childish(At least I do), which leaves us with some of our childhood innocence. That explains our "good hearts." As for morality, I think that it's simply a matter of logic. Aspies tend to be very logical in their thinking, so we know the better choices to make in situations, which usually turns out to be the morally correct thing to do.

I'm usually really nice, but I can also be really mean when I'm in a bad mood.

I'm usually really nice and try to overlook others faults, as I know we all posess them, However, I am a "grudge-holder"(as my ex calles me) and it does take me a LONG time to get over some things.
Because I was bullied I think it made me into a more compassionate person than I normally would have been.
My mom used to tell me "Women from the south are like piano wire, we can make a sweet sound, but if you make us really mad, we can strangle ya too!"
When I'm mad or hurt, I think of some really evil things to do in my head, but I never follow through on any of my evil thoughts. (sometimes, it would be fun to through )However I'm trying to learn to censor my mouth a little more, cause I can say some REALLY raw, hurtful things.
Am trying desperatly to be more empathic. Its hard becasue I'm still so selfish that I think of how "Noone ever cared about MY feelings all these years, why should I care about someone elses?" Generates a lot of inner conflict proably.

now, on to business, i have been told that i am to generous and helpful for my own good, that i have a kind heart and that i am a "nice young lad", so, yay me

EDIT: sorry if i sound all moderator-ish here, but i am used to modding alot of forums, so i get all uptight about the rules

Sometimes it's hard for me to believe it, though
