Do you despair when it's dark out?

I despair often when it's dark out, especially when I'm inside and it's dark in there too, because I know there's always a chance the sun may not come back. Seein the stars and bright smog helps a bit, but not a lot.

I like the dark. I don't like bright light. Maybe I'm naturally nocturnal.

I get depressed during wintertime because of lack of sunshine.
I try to get as much as possible.

I like dark rooms better than ones with the lights on and windows open. The only light I want is the glow of some sort of screen, such as my computer moniter or tv, or both :) Black lights are cool too. The night sky is beautiful, and it provokes my imagination better than the sunlight. I still love the sunlight as well, like if Im going for a walk or whatever, but if Im inside normally I dont like when its shining through the windows. For the most part, as long as Im surrounded by trees I feel really good, whether its day or night.

I don't like light of any kind, especially sunlight. The dark is my friend. Although I agree with username88, a screen of some kind lighting a room is pretty nice.

I like the dark, but I do not like that period just as it is getting dark...dusk...as for some reason it seems to disorient me visually. I don't know if that level of light does something odd to the eyes or the brainwaves, but yeah.
I prefer the sun, but winter darkness has it's bonus points as it is cosy when indoors in bright light and looking out at the dark.
I love walking in the dark when the moon is out.

Same. The dark helps me think. I like a dim light for reading though.

I don't like it when it is really dark. However, dimness I enjoy.

Carpe Noctem!

I despair when the great glowing orb of evil reigns the sky.

I don't have a problem with nighttime but when I was a kid, I hated sunset. When seeing a sunset I felt dreary and depressed. Then the summer I was 10 we had a really wet year so it was always cloudy at sundown so I didn't see a sunset for months. After that I was okay with sunsets and today I like to watch the sunset. I used to feel depressed by classical music also, but now I like it (Baroque, actually).

Twilight... I used to love the twilight. For me it was once a magical time, a time of transition when one is able to see things that are not apparent at night or during day. But... that is just a figment, something I seem to recall. For I no longer believe in such things. Darkness... Light... It matters not.

And the stars? I once enjoyed gazing at them, used to be able to name many of them... Now... They fill me with a sense of deep sadness, for they remind me of things unreachable...

I do not enjoy the idea of you despairing Ana... Please, dwell in the light when you can...

Something has to be happening with me before I get depressed. It wouldn't matter whether it's day or night.

I don't mind the dark, but life always seems more hopeless to me at night. Problems seem worse.

I struggle with the dark - especially when it gets dark early and there fewer hours of daylight.
