Everyone (especially on this site I would guess) has strange things they do or like that maybe most don't get. Here's your chance to find more people like you. (keep it clean please)

Does any body else like shiny things? I can't stand when something is supposed to be shiny and isn't, and seem to think there's got to be a way to make anything shiny.

I can't stand clocks and watches who show the wrong time. And when I buy a sandwich in the cafeteria at my college, I check that the cheese is always above the ham (after I've bought it, that is), like it's supposed to be.

Ooooh, shiny things. ^_^ I like them, however I'd have to say that my biggest thing is that I adore plush animals - it take every single ounce of willpower I have to resist buying at least one when I'm in a store that sells them . . . .. and admittedly I usually fail. I can't keep myself from hands-on inspecting them either - but that's with everything, not just plushies. (And it really, really annoys people sometimes, too. :S )

I like ponies, my aunt has a farm, where she has like mad expensive horses, ponys, donkeys, goats.. you name it, so everytime I visit, I go for a ride on the horses. I remember one time the horse decided to speed up out of nowhere, I was holding on for dear life screaming omgoshhhh, defintely a kodak moment haha.

I love shiny things. I think it started for me at Christmas as a child, tinsel is fascinating to me, especially red, gold and silver tinsel, if it's thick, lush tinsel.

Does anybody else love glow in the dark stuff? Another thing from my childhood, I love the greeny-grey light that comes from glow in the dark plastics. I'd charge it up in the light and then have it on my pillow or right up close to my face somehow and watch it glow till I fell asleep. That glow in the dark silly putty was awesome as well! I also like the chemical glow of glowsticks.

This is probably related to the shiny/glittery thing.

I like everything shiny except for noses :P
I'd love to stare at jewellery, but when I go to look there's always grubby fingerprints from people who have tried the jewellery on. I HATE FINGERMARKS!!

You may be onto something. I just ran out of glow in the dark paint tried to buy some more and ended up with paint that has glow in the dark crystals in it  . I was bummed. But I wonder if there's a connection between shiney and GITD? (similar stimulus?)

That is the worst part about liking shiney things...flaws  . I have 2 cordless dremels so even if I loose one I have something nearby to get rid of things like that. :P

Well, they are shiny! I don't have that obsession though. I like talking to animals.

you'll laugh...dolls.

I'm in the medical profession and have found I have the exact same reaction to a doll as I do to a corpse.
I can function (but only because I have been forced to by circumstance so often) but don't confront either unless I have to. (did I mention I have a 7 yr old daughter)

My strange phobia is worms.
Had a massive emergency today, I was cleaning my car and a worm appeared near the back, my neighbors were all out, a van stopped and I was going to ask him to move it but he drove off so I had to call my ex up to move it while I sat scared on the stairs. Luckily he was only in town and quickly came to my rescue.

I like to look at both pictures of corpses, and I collect dolls. :)

I love shiny things. I hate when i'm on a walk and the suns glinting off of something and I think it's shiny and it isn't.

I don't have any particular feelings about shiny things, but fuzzy things are a different matter altogether... and tassels. I'm like a cat. If I allow myself to be distracted by a pillow tassel or a display of tassels at a fabric store, I'll be playing with them for a long time.

My phobia is public restrooms. I never know if they will be clean or if the smell will send me running out of the room. I also hate backed up toilets and the resultant disgusting mess on the floor when people try, unsuccessfully, to flush them.
