WPers,

Do you like air travel?

I love air travel. To me, air travel is a journey in and of itself and not simply a means of getting from point A to point B, (sometimes via points C and D)

I also love turbulence, it provides great sensory integration for me -- also during takeoff and landing.

So do you like air travel?

I'd love to be like you - I'd travel a lot more, and enjoy my holidays more, too!

Unfortunately, I sit there through the whole flight humming like a guitar string, hanging onto the armrests, convinced that if I relax or let my guard down then something will happen to the 'plane...

I hate take-off and landing but once in the air I do love it. The views are amazing up there :)

CGKings317, I couldn't agree more.

I love take off, landing, and turbulence. If I could ride in the cockpit, that would be soooo amazing!

I've had only one bad experience while flying, but it hasn't ruined it for me.

Transatlantic flights are too long, dull, and uncomfortable for me, but the shorter 3 or 4 hour flights are just perfect, regardless of the number of connections.

Love them!

I have one friend who was asked to choose hypothetically between standing completely naked on the edge of the Grand Canyon covered in spiders in front of a crowd of tourists versus flying in a plane, and she chose the Grand Canyon option. She always needs Xanax and alcohol to make it through a flight. She frequently wakes up from her stupor mid-flight to lament the obvious, "Oh !?@%#, we're still on the plane!" That cracks me up every time because I'm having a blast being in the air. I guess we make a good travel team though.

I hate the waits, but I like the take off. Also I like the big windows in airports. Sometimes, if you are flying really early in the morning or something, you get to see the sun rise and it's beautiful

I like flying itself. But I have come to hate almost everything associated with it like the lines, security, delays/cancellations, crappy service, overpriced food and drink, etc.

I love flying and always try to get a window seat so I can watch the clouds from the top. What is becoming a major pain in the ass are the airports, having to arrive two hours before your flight just because of the security checks and then the ever changing list of things we are not allowed to carry. Ughh!!

The one thing that bothers me is that the closer to the window the bigger the pain in my ears. But the better the view. So it is always a tough choice between window seat and aisle seat.

I must add: the turbulence is something that varies from airline to airline. Everytime I fly RyanAir I have pain in my ears during landing, while I don't feel anything at all when flying Turkish Airlines or EasyJet.

Planes are just a leeeeetle too claustrophobic for me during flights longer than a couple of hours.

I love air travel and I always sit by the window so I can play my geography game (i.e. name the city, river, lake, etc. below).

No, it's long and boring. I don't like having to sit for that long.
