I started a new post in the movies forum...

THE F-WORD VIDEO CLASSICS CHANNEL -->CLICK HERE!

After that, I got to talking with my daughter about the word and why it 'FEELS' so good to use it in certain situations (she has never used it to my knowledge... she really is that 'nice' a child  ).

F - allows the build up of pressure connecting with the build up of emotions inside me. The biting of the lip acts as a safety waiting to be released.

U - as in... UH... is the sound corresponding to the release of all the pent-up emotions and pressure from within my body. This moment is when my muscles and brain can relax as everything is expelled in a split-second.

CK! - The forceful 'hitting of the brick wall'. Like slamming my fist into a door, windshield, wall. This mixes both pain and pleasure in a physical as well as mental way.
Physically, I get that same hard jolt from tensing my body back up with the hard CK sound.
Mentally, I get the 'pain' of feeling shameful for using such a 'BAD' word.

I've always wondered why it's so effective.
I wonder if there's another word that's equally effective but not as fatal.
I don't like to say that word because I get a really horrible jolt in my stomach when I hear others say it.

Well, I tried "Fudge Cake!" after seeing it on something like "Welcome Back Kotter" once, but it never really did anything for me except embarrass me an awful lot

It has been brought to my attention that there are some people who, do to language barriers (not sure what letter, "*" , stands for), might not understand exactly what this thread is about.

Here's a little help...

I kinda feel that if the F-word wasn't considered offensive it wouldn't appeal to people so much.

When you tell someone they can't do something if makes you want to do it, no?
