I go to a Thai restaurant every weekend, and the waitresses are always so nice, intelligent, and respectful, not to mention darn cute. Just wondered if mine is a common perspective. (This question isn't just for the guys; all feedback is appreciated.) Also, whether I'm sloppily-dressed or not, they are always super-nice to me, make direct eye contact, speak softly and kindly, and get into patient discussions about various Thai dishes I'm interested in. Whereas, with most white Americans where I live, if you're not dressed nicely, no one will even talk to you.

It's nice to encounter a culture that is less superficial than ours. Especially when you're an Aspie, and don't have the energy to put forth your best social graces all the time.
(Heh, just as I'm sitting here complimenting them, my waitress walks up again to make sure everything is just right. :) )

I'm also a sucker for any girls who have ears that stick outward at the tops!

I agree, Thai women are beautiful. I like all kinds of girls, as long as they're nice to me.

Plus, I have a special respect for anyone who can eat insanely spicy food every day like it's no big deal. For those not in the know, Thai restaurants in the States weaken their food to American tastes. So much so, that they invented a "1" to "5" range of spiciness, all of which are below authentic Thai: (insert fire-breathing skull and crossbones).

Well, I ordered a "3" a couple weeks ago, and my eyes were watering all through the meal. I ordered a "4" tonight. But next weekend, I'm going ALL THE WAY, BABY!! ! I'm sure those polite waitresses won't mind me singing soprano and pounding on the table.

When you eat that stuff everyday you become desensitized. I used to until I trashed my stomach. Now I can distinguish fine, subtle differences in flavors.

I wouldn't mind ordering something with a 5 in terms of spiciness.

And the "authentic Thai" cuisine only sweetens the deal.

Exactly. I've never had authentic before.

im absolutely with you, raggie. (as funny as that is, in respect of our worldviews ;))

there are some insanely beautiful girls in southeast asia. and their culture seems to be much more focussed around respect and politeness. i recently saw a documentation about a swiss guy who opened up a foster home for seniors with alzheimers in thailand. for affordable money, there is one personal caretaker for every senior - and in that docu, they showed that there is acompletely different kind of treatment and relation between caretaker and patient. they showed three or four of those young girls who went out with their respective seniors to a restaurant, sitting in the sun and having a good time, much more as if they were friends than in any kind of professional relation.

but then, its not hard finding a culture that is less superficial than ours (germany is pretty much overrun by americanism, to my dismay :p) and there can be pretty girls almost everywhere. (superficially pretty, at kleast. pretty behaviour is a treat much rarer)

There are nice women around the global and to prefer one nationality over another is close to stereotyping. Reality shows there are goodlooking people in every country if you look well enough (maybe make an exception for Vatican City as there are hardly any females there :))

Can we post some pix of Thai erotic actresses to illustrate our argument?
