are you ever silent for no reason?

i have been totally mute the last two days. i havent said anything to my mom at all and it just seems to come so naturally for me, and makes me laugh inside my head when i think about what quiet really is. my mind is very loud though and is bussy with the nba season and the string i have. does this ever happen to you?

Not for two days.. two hours maybe. I get periodic instances where I "hyperfocus" on something, and can do it incredibly fast and efficiently... far beyond normal. During those times... I am entirely silent but like you say, my mind is racing.

yes,am NV most of the time-mostly uncontrolled,occasionally controlled,think it's due to slow information processing,sensory onslaught and the excessive effort needed with language and understanding.

if don't find it a problem and are physically able to speak then it's all good,probably just not have the interest in talking at that time? or
needed to recover? being verbal and speaking to others can be some of the most straining things for people on the spectrum.

Yes, I get days when I just don't speak at all.
It does not really bother me all that much, and in a sense, this is communication.
I find speaking often totally draining and pointless.

Talk to my dogs more than I talk to people, and I can bring a conversation to silence just by being there. I have nothing to say to them, so I don't say anything. My thoughts are loud enough anyway.
