I just wanted to get people's opinions on this game. It's been out in America for a while and is soon to launch in Australia.

So, is this the best Metroid game ever?

I've heard it's pretty damn good. For one thing, Samus has most of her abilities at the very start, and keeps them.

I'm an hour or two in, and I'm enjoying it a lot so far.

Do want. I'm thinking about getting a Wii next year just for this game.

The problem with the Wii is the lack of gamer's games. The few games that are gamer's games however, end up getting people to buy a Wii just for that game.

As a matter of interest, how many planets are there in Metroid Prime 3?

There are 5 main planets, with one planet only being visted at the end of the game (I won't spoil anything.), and if you want to include it, there is an abandoned spaceship.

But yes, I must say I found the game spectacular on every front. The graphics were trulyt breath-taking. I sometimes would find myself pausing for minutes on end just to look around at the environment. The controls are very fluid, The voices detract in no way from the overall feel of the game, the music had a nice feel to it, and I didn't want to stop playing it overall. This game is a must-have, if you have to purchase a Wii simply for this, it is more than worth it.

I give it a 9.75/10. It was a spectacular game, however in a place or two the music felt slightly awkward. I wouldn't necessarily say this is the end-all of Metroid games, but it is without a doubt one of the best.

However, I'm curious as to what you consider a "Gamer's game", APERSON. Could you explain further?

Games that are designed for gamers, rather than the likes of Wii Sports and WarioWare, which although fun and good for a few minutes, gamers can lose interest in it pretty quickly. Adventure games are gamers games. What I'm trying to point out is that the majority of games on the Wii are designed for people who don't usually play games. But at least the gamer's games (like this one) prove that it is possible to enhance the gaming expierience through the controls. I've yet to try them yet but I've seen my brother play it and he assures me the controls work.

I've played it now. My favourite boss battle so far is Ridley. That was one of the coolest bosses I've faced.

I'm on Bryyo at the moment after activating the satalite. I like the music for Bryyo quite a bit actually.

But one of the best things in my opinion is the detail. Every planet has different style doors which removed any worries I had that all the doors were going to be the same. I quite like Bryyo's stone doors.

Yeah Metroid 3 Corruption looks awesome! Although the Wii isn't a console for those big shoot em' up gamers... I'd advise to get an Xbox 360 if you're one of those huge hardcore games.

this is the front cover in the UK. The game looks like it has awesome graphics... but I don't like the front cover, I prefer this one:

I have the game and beaten it lots of times. Two words: Really. Bloody. Awesome. That's three words but still, you get the picture. The hypermode functions are top notch. The hunters are tough. the weapons you get are awesome. And the visors you get have neat functions. The game overall is very awesome.

It looks like some seriously sick s---. I'm curious to know how it'll stack against Prime and Echoes, have both of those for Game Cube but I'm really thinking that if I bought the Wii this is one of the only games I'd really be playing on it, it would have to be off the hook

That kind of worries me though just because, I know they can't keep making her lose weapons - it would make for boring and repetitive plot, but it's seemed to be a largely puzzle-based game. I just hope they're able to come up with enough compensating factors and maybe even new weapons to really add to the experience.

There are actually just as much upgrades as the Previous Primes. Yes, you don't lose any but the grapple beam is put a heavier emphasis on, which increases the amount of powerups you can find.

I will say that there are no missile combos but with the Hyper Beam, you don't really need it.

And yes, there is a fetch quest like the previous two Primes but you only really need to collect them all if you're going for 100% completion. I've got six of the nine items, which I won't spoil.

The motions made with the controllers definately add to the expierience and the game's set across several planets. And, you get to visit the Space Pirate's homeworld, complete with the Crateria music.

OK, I've completed the game now and unlocked Hypermode. Not only that but it was my first go and I completed it with 100% of the items and saw the real ending. There will probably be more Metroid games based around facing that ship you see at the end. Another trilogy perhaps?

I don't see any point playing it again since I've completed it 100%.

Shame, it's really good.

Anyway, since I won't have anything to play until December I started again on this game... in Hypermode.
