does anyone here have an undeniable hatred of buttons?

I hate them and have since I was a baby, when my mom used to make me where anything with buttons, i would have total meltdowns. I hate anything with buttons/snaps/etc (but zippers are ok)

does anyone have anything like this? or with any other objects?

My only weird phobia are people dressed up as mascots or anything similar. Probably not what you meant by objects, but there it is.

I, too, have a fear of adults in costume. But only if they are in costume as part of their job (mascots, Disney workers, etc). It's messed up, I know. I feel like they might be really unhappy on the inside and can't show it. It makes me really embarrassed and uncomfortable.

Yes I hate really really small hard things. I can't stand jewelry. The thought of it makes me creep out. I can't look at it to be honest. This is not a joke.

I feel the same hatred toward those monsters used in holding clothing together.
See- I can't even bring myself to type the word!
I don't think "phobia" is the right term though.
"Hatred" works much better than "phobia".

I am deathly afraid of looking through binoculars or a telescope at the night sky. Can do it a bit during daylight.
This has been a crippling phobia for the past 25 or so years.

HAHAHA, I just brought that up in another topic! Yes I find buttons nauseating, there's one on my pants right now that I always try to keep covered up with my belt. Also, when I was younger I used to have selenophobia (fear of the moon). I'd have a panic attack at the eerie sight of a big, yellow, rising moon, seriously!

I can understand the binocular thing, I think.
Have you ever laid on the ground under a starry sky, and considered the fact that there is nothing between you and the depths of the universe? And the only reason you don't fall off the planet is because it, too, is hurtling through space? It's quite thrilling, and scary too. I have gotten the same feeling flying a kite at night. Perhaps this is the sensation riverotter gets from the binoculars.

Hurtling through space? Didn't you know objects with mass attract one another?

I have that same phobia, but so does my husband. His is worse, so I'm the one who usually ends up making the phone call. He also hates to place orders in restaurants or fast food places, so I always order for him (he tells me what he wants, and I place the order).
