I'm at a loss for words. Sort of. Well, no not really.

You have no idea what it's like finding this place. Well, then again, you do. (I could do this all day, but will fight the urge for the moment.)

You people are just like me. I'm just like you. Odd. That is, it's odd to find this place, not that you're odd. Actually, it's odd because I'm not odd any more. I've seen the number 20 million tossed around - wow.

It's been an amazing few days since I found an article about DSM 299.80. My ex and son read it and both said "Yep. 100% YOU." Not 98, or 99 - 100.

I'll try to clam up / calm down and sift through the prior forums & soak up the camaraderie before posting again. I get the suspicion it's all been said before. But first let me see if I understand this correctly:

We are WIRED this way?

The verbosity? Over analysis? Literal interpretation? Immunity from herd instinct (religion, patriotism, racism, etc.)? Meticulousness?

If we are BORN, this way, none of this is anybody's FAULT? We can stop trying to CORRECT IT?

Wow.

I had a similar reaction. After I was diagnosed with AS, I found this place and felt like I had come home.

I've been here two weeks and my jaw is still on the floor.

Welcome to the party! :D

Ah! Sorry about that. I think I found your jaw the other day. I didn't know who it belonged to, so I left it where it was. Have you still not found it?

Welcome Wolfgang. Let's see if you take care of your jaw better than Alei.
