I start the fall semester on September 7th.

I am not looking forward to the end of my summer break.

But I am looking forward to getting back to school.

But I am not looking forward to the possible dealings with my new roomate.

But I am looking forward to getting back to work at the TV station on campus.

I'm a mixed bag of feelings on this - How about the rest of you?

My school starts next Wednesday, on the 24th. I'm actually looking very much forward to getting back into the old routine. The only thing is, I'm probably not going to sleep at all the first week in anticipation. It never fails, every year, I'm so alert and excited that I don't even notice that I need sleep until a day or two later.

how about a parents point of view?

I spent a goodly portion of yesterday argueing with my older son's high school because they messed up his schedule and decided not to implement his IEP as "it's inconveant for the language arts teacher"

Yo! anyone there familiar with federal law? IEPs aren't suggestions.

And my son's father disagrees that my younger son is PDD and LD. He thinks that we should remove all accomidations and let him sink or swim....dispet that he's hadrly swimming with a ton of accomidations. Periodically the father threatens to take the kids away since all their **issues** must be due to my macherian by proxy syndrome. (that is spelled horribly bad, sorry)

I'm not really looking forward to the school year.

Why?

that is good. What parts of school are you looking forward to?

Hmmmm? Any reason why?

What do you think you have planned for programming?

i'm looking at it from "the other side", as it were, scoots, being a teacher/lecturer.

school here starts at the beginning of september (although i mean school for 5-16 year olds). part of me hopes i'll be working, cos i need the money, and there's little work about in sept and oct. part of me hopes i don't have to go back, yet!

university starts again at the beginning of october. FAR easier work, and i shall be glad to start there.

1)...What grades do you usually teach?
2)...Does College level start in October?

this is the impression I get.

Sincerely,
Ghosthunter

What compromises did they do?

Well spoken!

I didn't get the last part of that paragraph. But I agree
with you. NT's or NT's in questionable form can be nieve?
or not?

From what you have said...I don't blame you for this feeling.

yes! you're quite correct, GH. some do start earlier, though, just to confuse the issue...

The compromise is that we will try langauge for two weeks. J may or may not need the accomidations. If it goes okay, okay. If its a problem, the school admin needs to be brought in. That's okay by me. We know how the Admin thinks but I'm on firm ground with this...the teacher HAS to follow the IEP.

The last part of the post was about "Munchausen by Proxy."
Even though both J and D have been diagnoised by reputable nueropychs and have competent doctors, their father refuses to believe they are "not normal." He has suggested that I have Munchausen by Proxy. That means I make the kids sick and then lie to the doctors to mislead them to a dianoise. People who have Munchausen make themself sick to get attention. People who have By Proxy make their children or others in their care sick to get attention.

I really don't know what to say. Good luck like vetivert said seems
appropriate. I had a interview with the principal and trust me, she
is probly evil as she looks. When someone wants bodies, not individuals
for aides...Hmmmmmm? How insensitive

Not sure if I'm looking forward to it exactly, but its better than sitting here with nothing to do.
