Many NTs benefit from and contribute to these forums and there's no necessity to proclaim that they're NTs. Often they don't. But do you aspies notice them?

I think the problem is that auties speak the language, values, goals of NTs not viceversa. This holds also for myself. I try to look reasonable and wise but I know that that my real values are base and irrelevant for society as it is, as it pretends to be. We all lie at some extent. This should perhaps be the subject of a thread even if it bumps against the paradox that if we admit that we all lie, even this is a lie. Oh s**t!

I happen to be AS, however, I'm married to an NT, and we have an AS kid. They're just labels. I'm just sayin.

Yes, I can spot the difference rather quickly. But many of the NTs on this forum are my friends and inspirational to me (ie: Smelena).

Not necessarily what they write, but they way they write it. I can tell even those who are just on the 'edge of the spectrum,' such as having 'mild' AS or ADD as opposed to the core, such as myself. I am a HFA. I am white light; the entire spectrum.

I sense those on the edge by logic. NTs are distinct entirely.

I have no idea who is AS or NT by posts alone. I'm making the assuption that unless stated, everyone is or is on the spectrum or has a relative with AS.

Ha! Just kidding. I wouldn't expect anyone to be able to tell from just 5 words.

I've spent so much time practicing my interaction skills, that I think people don't even notice anything unusual about me in the real world. They just think I'm more quiet than most people. Some are even suspicious when I tell them I have Aspergers. I'm pretty sure I do have it though, because I fit all the characteristics described on wikipedia.

The greater the certainty the less the understanding I feel.

It seems a crude way of evaluating a difference, beware those who have the answers, as answers are like weapons to those who don't question.

:)

Diagnosed Aspie here. But I choose to go by Carol Gray's and Tony Attwood's definition of Aspie: http://www.thegraycenter.org/sectionsdetails.cfm?id=38

Really interesting article. Thanks for the link. Discovery is so much nicer than diagnosis.

Unless if they specifically say that they are AS, NT or something else, I can't tell either.

cant tell if there were any nts here, i would not know nor really care. What better for nts to be able to observe aspie behavior? I would like more nts to know about aspie behavior. It makes life a little easier for aspies.
