Hi,

I am currently in Brisbane, Australia. I am a 23yr male and looking someone to possibly share a house with (rent) in the next month or two for up to a year, maybe more.

A bit about the person I would be looking for:

-Someone with high functioning aspergers, similar to myself.
-Don't care male or female.
-Relatively tidy and respectful of others belongings. <--easy one eh.
-Able to pay your share of the rent in a timely manner.
-Contributes to some of the household upkeep.

A bit about myself:

-23yr old male.
-Pretty clean/ tidy/ easy going and quiet.
-I will be studying part time @QUT in the city.
-I work from home when not at uni.
-I have a car that I work on sometimes, so I want to stay somewhere with a garage.

About the living situation:

I will be looking for a house near the city so I can get to uni easily. I dont care Nth. or Sth. side.
I think it would be nice to have a 3 bedroom house with just me and one other person or it becomes overwhelming.

Too far south to offer any input on the housing thing - I live in the Illawarra in NSW - but welcome klx1 from another Aussie.

Hi Klx1! I can'ta help either but I live on the Sunshine Coast. My daughter Smelena lives in the Pine Rivers Shire, and her two young sons are Aussie Boy and Ubbyubbyubby. Welcome to WP.

Thanks for the welcomes. I guess there aren't many people out there who are looking for an AS housemate in my city at the moment.

By the way, has anyone been to the Zillmere meetings? Are they any good?

I'm a Brisbane aspie too - can't help you with the roommate search, though...

I never realised that there were meetings in Zillmere - I'm just near there! (Kallangur, to be exact).

What sorts of meetings are they?
