Quote:
NEW YORK (Billboard) - Back in his days with Pink Floyd,
Roger Waters took on the big issues of life. In high-concept projects like "The Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall," he grappled with such challenging topics as social oppression, the long shadows of war, the interplay of money and power, and the abuse of authority.

Since 1989, Waters wrestled with many of those same concerns in a genre new to him: opera. The result, "Ca Ira," an opera set during the French Revolution, arrives in stores September 27 from Columbia/Sony BMG Masterworks.

:D I'm a huge Waters fan.

Like most Pink Floyd fans, the Live8 gig gave me unwarranted hopes of some new Floyd material or solo stuff. I must admit, I like both Waters and Gilmour. Let's organise a Palestinian-Israelian peace concert and get a new gen waters/floyd album. I am listening to Echoes as I type this btw.

I'm interested in this new opera CD set, just to see what Roger's been up to.

Oh why oh why can't we just all get along...

Also, punk and prog can live side by side. Rock and roll however died in 1981.
