Have a look at all the video clips on the above site and tell me what you think.

When did the Earth become a satellite?

About 48,000 years ago I think.

Are not all the bodies that orbit the Sun technically satellites of the Sun?

Anyway, did you watch all the clips and what do you think?

Of all the theories I've ever seen in Internet... this seems to be one of the most reasonable. But one thing I haven't figured out as of yet

Quote:
The case against pangea
First… it’s important to understand that this is the most profound disagreement in all of science in a century and a half… and, even so, it is the tip of the iceberg, the ramifications of this disagreement will change everything we know in science, top to bottom.
What exactly does this theory change, apart from the fact that how the continents/mountains came up and how earthquakes/stuff like that occur?

Ok.. I read the NY Times article about the gravity; but what else? I think I'll go to sleep, maybe I can think more clearly tomorrow

I only was the beginning of clip #0. From what I can tell, much of it seems to be B.S.

Everything that goes around the sun is a satellite.

And the Earth is not a perfect sphere either. It is actually egg-shaped, being wider in the tropical/Equatorial regions.

Ok, a sudden exponential growth in Earth's size since just ~200million years ago, new matter forming in the core of the Earth... now it sounds like bs to me :P

Yes, it might sound like BS, but did you actually watch all the clips?
Especially those of the ice moons with the lines that match up perfectly when the new flat areas are reduced.

Another thing to consider as to why this theory might be valid.

The size of dinosaurs, in fact the size of everything from pre-history.

Scientists say the bones of say a brontasouras would not be strong enough to support its weight.

Well, if the Earth used to be half the size, gravity would be half and then the dinosaur bones would indeed have been strong enough to support its weight.

Also humans wouldnt all have suffered from backache like we do now!

Unpossible. Mass does not simply pop out of nowhere.

There probably are problems with the current scientific understanding of many things and as time passes many of the errors will be found and we'll have a prograssively more accurate picture of reality.

But the appearance of mass out of no where is not observed anywhere in the observable universe. It could very well be true but with our current knowledge we have no right to believe in this.

In any science there is always stuff that cannot be explained.

There's this thing called Occam's Razor. You should look it up.

I found it easiest to skip to the end, where

These are the only Sciece project products we are selling at this time
.. as in the three DVDs, each of the two of which will cost you merely $50.

I only managed to watch clip 0 and part of 3 before I quit. 0 had somewhat thought-provoking ideas, but 3 is fairly out there.

In the Q&A under clip 0, it is claimed that there were no mountains during the time of the dinosaurs. Therefore, if the earth was expanding, there should be no mountains today, either. Tell that to the Sherpas. I also fail to see how the growing earth theory manages to disprove the vacuum that is space and the Big Bang. (though it (hopefully) is an attempt at humour).

It's a good thing to question your surroundings, but come on. This is about as logical as the hollow earth theories...
