So hands up who's never drinking from a hotel glass again, until they've given it a proper clean? :D

I didn't need to watch our local news to find this out. Why people trust hotels, I'll never know.

tsk, tsk, this is why I have a stocked pantry. Can't trust people to do for you.

Looks like a vinegar spray bottle is called for as well as bringing your own sheets, towels, slippers and vermin traps. so much for deluxe accommodations.

-.- I hate motels, and yes hotels to. A number of reasons. Once, I went with my dad and spent a night at some awful motel where everything was clingy feeling. And I mean everything. They must have used the same chemicle on the sheets even, so it was very hard to sleep that night, and I felt so dirty the next morning with that clingy chemicle on me. I think it's more the employees' faults then the businesses. They are responcible themselves for how clean it is.

Reminds me of sanitation at subway, where I worked for a few months. I once had some fellow employees who didn't care at all.... unlike me. After knowing how alot of the food and sauces get mistreated, I really, really don't feel like eating there again.

I am never drinking out of hotel cups again. I will be asking for disposable cups. We wash ours cups at the hotel but have problems with these coffee cups getting cleaned.

I worked in hotels and motels for years. Do not ever assume anything in your room is not crawling with germs.
The ones I have worked for pay by the hour and rush employees to go too fast to clean a room properly.
I would always try, and would get in trouble for the extra 3 minutes or so it took with each room to do it in a sanitary manner.
Also they would get stingy with clean rags and cleaning products.
I think there are two sets of rules at most of these low paying jobs.
