I don't live in Manassas, but I don't live far away. I live in Reston. It makes me wonder how many NOVA people we have on here.

I Live about 80 miles to the south in Richmond VA. Since I'm into RV'ing, I do find myself visiting a neat little RV shop up there called "Restless Wheels" that I bought a camper at, and have bought all sorts of odds and ends to upgrade it and stuff.

Manassas is a nice little town. It doesn't seem to have the snobbery that the rest of Northern VA/ DC area has. The people there seem to be a bit more down to earth. There is also more local type businesses there, less big-box stores and fewer planned communities full of McMansions.

I also installed a CATV system in Metz middle school there in town a few years back!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I just happened to search for Manassas and was surprised to see this pop up. I've lived in Manassas for almost two years now and I like it so far. Not to large, not too small -- they just need to extended the Metro down here.
