OK. So I'm showing my age...

Somewhere, I think I still have my membership card, as shown above, for the first commercial online game (MUD-2).

Actually, at that time, I had already been playing MUD for some time, using both the server at Essex and a pre-release version, I think, maybe in Croydon?

I don't think I ever got all that far through the game.

There was another game, or two, around. One I played in a bit was called just "GODS", IIRC.

The interesting bit is that, after a gap of over a quarter of a century, I'm playing MUD-1 again:
