Every now and then my vision sort of "rattles". It's most probably because I'm not getting enough sleep, and it's happening more and more. Anyone else experience this?

I have sort of experienced. Felt like my brain was shorting out. Think there are many variables in what causes it. Diet and Medication mainly. I found that Lithium was the main cause for mine and dropped it like a bad habit.

I used to get this all the time as a child, still do occasionally. I used to say that I "sideways blinked" to people because that's what it felt like and I couldn't explain it any other way. I don't think they understood me. Rattles is a good word though, I'll be using that in future.

I always wondered what it was, never did find out the cause, but at least I know I'm not the only one now.

Good to know I'm not the only one, though it mostly happens on days when I don't sleep well. I'm not taking any medications, so it can't be that for me, and my diet hasn't really changed.

If you mean that you eyes unexpectedly flick rapidly from side to side, then yes, I get this all the time.

No, my eyes and head are still when it happens. It's like there's some short-circuit or something. :?

Yeah, it's been happening to me all my life. Try to focus on a tubular objects and see how you focus on it. Also, can you see the 3D images in MagicEye books?

Do a google image search.

I made one: http://six.flash-gear.com/stereo/stereo ... k=54906177

As for your question, I think of that as more of an eye flicker that is definitely not under my control. Bleah.

That's a very interesting question! And no, I can't - I've never been able to make out one.

Coincidentally enough, I experienced that vision "rattle" for the first time last week - I'm very reassured to read this thread!

Sometimes I have the rattle thing and sometimes the light changes with each heartbeat.
