It is said on an NT magazine that money don't make you happy but friends do. What makes you happy?

Driving my new car (convertible) with the top down and the sun on my face. It is like heaven.
(website with photo: http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/Artic ... cleID=5718)

OR:

A glass of a nice red wine, good music on my stereo, and head buried in a book/documentary/magazine about evolutionary biology/human physiology.

Best red: probably a Cape Mentelle Zinfandel. (cheap too, only 14 dollars)
Best song: probably Count Basie or Ella Fitzgerald CD.
Best Book: Currently going through the changes from edition 10->11 of Principles of Anatomy and Physiology - Tortora-Derrickson.

Feck friends. People make me tired. Give me a nice drive followed by alone time with my books any day. NT's annoy the crap out of me by always intimating that I bought the car to "pick up chicks." I always feel like telling them that I have never picked up a chick in this car, and that I am insulted by the insinuation. But alas, I don't. I just smile and nod and let them think whatever they want. Then I hop back in my car (by myself) and feel exhilarated.

as an aside question, maybe a new thread... do NT's really have their decisions effected by whether or not they can "pick up chicks"? Are NT girls really that shallow?

Dunno. All things considered, I should be miserable. But I'm not, I'm happy. So I guess my madness makes me happy.

Many things make me happy.
1. Driving my Oldsmobile or seeing classic cars (especially Oldsmobiles) being driven around.
2. Dancing. Even though I stink at it.
3. Reading.
4. Drawing.
5. doing fun things like going to the aquarium or a museum.
6. eating good food.
7. the computer.
8. my pets.
9. getting my paycheck.
10. my BF. He comes closest to understanding me.
11. I'll think of some more...

Listening to loud music, driving, eating good food, adding to my siamese cat figurine collection, watching new episodes of my favorite tv shows, reading House-related articles, learning facts about random things, looking people I see on tv/in magazines up on wikipedia.

To skathic and sorce... which dancing are you referring too?

I'm a Lindy Hopper.

As for oldsmobiles... they are AWESOME cars. 1970 is definately my favourite decade for those cars. Especially the coupe. A next door neighbour where I grew up had a blue '67 442 coupe. Sounded like the god of thunder.

Driving in a scenic place with the sun coming in through the window (I love that feeling on my skin) and some music playing.

That, and a lot of other things/scenarios... :)

Well, I dance horribly--- so you might call it the " Duck Waddle Boogie" when I begin dancing to the music. I'll dance at a club, I'll dance with the vacuum cleaner... it doesn't really matter where I am. It's just fun and makes me feel young.
And the '67 was a wonderful year for Olds and the 442. My favorite ones are the late '60's to the early '70's--- after that there were too many regulations and this spelled the end of the Musclecar Era ( goodbye to the Chevelles and the GTO's as well).
