What are the differences between Asperger syndrome and Schizotypal disorder? I have read a lot of information about it. I found only similarities ("weird, unusual speech, lack of friends, flat affect" etc).

Do people with schizotypical disorder have restricted routines and rituals? Are they inflexible too? How do they react to surprises? Do they have narrow interests or obsessions?

I don't know much about the condition but do know they share the same symptoms but AS is something you get in your early childhood, you don't just get it when you're in your late childhood, teens or adults. If they symptoms start, then it's something else. Depression, anorexia, personality disorders, schizophrenia, all share the same symptoms.

Schizotypals have very high levels of paranoia, whereas for autistics, they tend to be oblivious to threats and danger. StPD also have unwanted violent thoughts (I believe some autistics get these too, although I don't). Generally there's a modesty or a humility of a kind you don't find in Autism. There's only a small presence on the net for Schizotypals, the biggest group is on MSN groups. I joined it for a while, it clarified whether I had autism or StPD for me.

In autism, the "little voices" are other people and you can ignore them.

In schizophrenia, etc. the "little voices" are in your head and very difficult to ignore....
