The Vindictiveness and Mean Spirit of AS

No Asperger isn't a get-out of jail card that one can ride and get cleared from all the negativity they created and go home scott free without ramifications. Karma accrues in all people at all times - every time. The mean spirit is there. The vindicitiveness, the one-man-up ship - to somehow counter the misery the AS has encountered in their life-time is apparent. What is also apparent is the seemingly - *what me worry* stance taken by those who claim AS as their cop-out. As if to say - *Ive got a disability - I can do whatever I want - and it's you who got the problem. How dare you consescend, be holier than thou and assume to know everything* because here - there's this study and this equation and the bitter plain FACTS that will PROVE that *I am a special human being who has been sorely discriminated against and now that I have a DIAGNOSES it's my FREE TICKET to screw humanity - so SCREW YOU!*.

OK - yeah. Uh huh. Right. Keep on taking those meds, keep on playing those video games, keep on posting to these forums, keep on giving the finger to humankind and put up your walls against Truth that's being said to you. Of course it's not vaccines, mercury, LCD, radiation, EMF, foods, drugs, environment, cold mothers. It's all a FLUKE in the guise of *genetics* which have ZERO to do with what your parents did, said and thought in their own lives. It's all a tragic happenstance. And there's no one to take responsibility. It's just another one of those things that are to be swallowed and chalked down to fate. And emerge from your hiding holes to attack those that harsh your mellow in that *comfort zone* of not having to look at yourselves and cop to who you are. Vindictive. And that's your karma. Your fate that you created and accepted as your journey here on the RIGHT PLANET - EARTH - where you belong in spite of your trolling attempts to claim otherwise. Get wise. Educated and stop your BS. You're as clear as the morning sky.

Jjstar: I have not been here long but I have seen no one say anything to the effect of "I just broke X law and got away with it becaue I am an Aspie." I do not know where you got this rant from, or why you are here...

Well, I hope that you feel better having got all that off your chest. You're entitled to your viewpoint but then I'm entitled to disagree.

You're probably right that AS is caused by genetics but then I'm a geologist so this isn't my chosed field. What CAN make a difference is they way someone is brought up by their parents, there are parents on this board who have AS kids and I would have quite cheerfully killed someone to have one or both parents like these good folk. My parents did nothing, either because they couldn't understand or because their religious beliefs got in the way. The end result was that I went crazy at aged twenty and after I took charge of straightening my mind out it took me thirty years before I was happy with myself.

Boards like Wrong Planet serve a useful purpose. Some come on here to have a rant against the world, others come on to ask for help, and then there are folk like me who try to help as a way of repaying the debt. So don't knock it

The Lean, Mean, Vindictive?! Machine Topic

Dear jjstar:

I understand your anger when people blame crimes on factors they say they cannot control. I myself take responsibility for my errors. The devil certainly did not make me do it.

I believe I know your stand on genetics. No one is exactly sure how much of our behaviour is influenced inherently but there is some influence. And yet, then to commit a crime and be absolved for it is up to a judge and/or jury. There are some really bizzare illnesses out there that push the limit, such as raping and killing people while asleep. I would hope there is compensation for any victim of this assault.

Lawyers are paid to do their best to defend clients, and I know, there are times when even I have my doubts a person is innocent. Justice is not perfect. It makes me angry too when read about one lame excuse after another, and someone, like when a drunk driver kills someone with their vehicle and is aquitted for what seems like obvious guilt, or receives a light sentence. I also am glad when someone is found not guilty after a long period of incarceration, and the real criminal may be found. Three examples among many are Steven Truscott, Hurricane Carter, and David Milgaard. I do not think any live on the Autism Spectrum.

There are also those who are sentenced to an indefinite period of time in a mental health facility, if these persons are found to be not criminally responsible.

I am not sure if this post helps you in understanding the kind of injustice you mention in your post, but I have learned a lot in reading yours. Thanks, jjstar, for your thought-provoking posts here at WP.
