I tried to but i couldn`t. Apple However has Software were you can install Windows On a Mac.
I think it is mainly the difference i MB`s why that can`t happen.

I'm fully aware of this with Mac, but the point of Hackintosh is to get a superior computing platform w/o having to pay the premium price that Apple hardware commands. Info on the project can be found here

I did download and burn some hacked OSX disks but I have no suitable box to attempt loading on.
Apple are pretty good at protecting there intellectual property I would bet once installed any attempt to update any apple app will disable it.

But I still reckon its worth a go :)

There is a project called OSX on X86 but again updates will kill your hackintosh. Apple should really sell us the OS we want (and we will see how the hackers have at it). In the mean time use Debian or Ubuntu (Debian based) and make it look like OS X. :)

I can understand why Apple won't make a straightforward port of OS X available commercially. Apple is in the Hardware business, and would get stomped by MS. --They would be directly competing with Micro$oft which would cause MS to sell off a good portion of Apple stock at a cut rate which would result in no Apple computers.

I just wish that Apple would at least be more lenient in ignoring people who run their OS on hardware other than Apple's. :?

This is illegal just so everyone knows, it clearly violates Apple's EULA... However, I myself have three hackintoshes. One machine was completely incompatible with the exception of the processor so I had to make some custom kexts and a custom distribution so it could boot. I use my MacBook Pro now, but when I was saving to go buy one I used a hackintosh.

If Apple wanted to, they could make their OS for PCs without issues. The part that would suck for them is no one would buy their overpriced crapware. This MacBook Pro, as a PC would be about a third of the cost and include a legit Windows copy. Apple makes so much money off selling hardware at 2-7 times the price, just so people can use OS X. You can build a fully functioning hackintosh that runs better than a Mac Mini at around $200. :P

I'm gonna go tell Stevie about you guys and you're all gonna get in BIG trouble.

He'll give me one of those new MacBook Air computers as a reward... I'm sure... so my daughter doesn't have to go without braces so I can have one of my very own!

The Woz would probably think it was pretty cool, and might buid you a Hackintosh if you ask politely. -- Skeletor (Jobs) on the other hand would hate it!

That's what I thought you were getting at.... but the Woz don't have no MacBook Air to give me as a big reward

Just reaching blindly into the dark here, but do you think parallels or VM could be made to run OS X as virtual machine?

Yes, I've done it along with many others. I no longer use any OS X-running machine anymore however except for my MacBook Pro, but I am quite experienced with this.

I've seen an OSX Tiger hackintosh but never OSX Leopard. Has anyone successfully got a Leopard hackintosh working?
