Are there any tornado chasers out there?

I like watching documentary films with tornades, hurricanes and volcanoes, but until someone is badly injured. I really don't like scenes with blood and pain. What about you?

PS: Only in television, of course! I wouldn't survive meeting a tornado

I don't like seeing people injured either. I have never seen a tornado on the ground and don't know how I would react if I did. I used to be unreasonably scared to death every time it stormed, so I started taking spotter classes and that helped me recognize what kind of storms were most likely to be dangerous. Where I live it really isn't good for chasing, too many hills and trees, but I can still watch the sky anyway. For example last October I saw a suspicious cloud formation that looked like the very beginning of a tornado so I called the Weather Bureau and told them to keep an eye on it and where I thought it was headed. About 45 minutes later they did issue a warning for a town two counties over so it probably was, but it didn't do much damage. One thing about where I live we rarely get the violent supercell storms like they show in the videos.

I'd like to try that. I don't live in the right area, though.

We have kind of a deal - I don't chase them, and they don't chase yours truly.

Also, hurricanes signed a restraining order which keeps them at least 100 miles away from me.

YES!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !

I'd watch storms stories on the weather channel all the time, and watch a bunch of stuff about storm chasing. I'm totally fascinated by it and I can't wait to do it someday.

I've never seen a tornado as I don't live in an area for them. I do however, watch the weather channel, documentaries, dvds and read books about tornadoes and storms. I would love to go storm chasing one day...it's my biggest wish!
