I'd ahve to say I lost it when I was 14 and saw a picture of an autopsy table without a corpse on it, for the first time in my life. But then I got it back. Then I really lost it just half a year ago when I got the black holes in my head. :)

I define "innocence" when I blindly trusted humanity for I held no anger and hate within, and I expected everyone to be as kind and gentle as I was; 6 or so, then again at 12 or so, humanity built much hate and anger within me when I finally realized the magnitude of certain events (mentally, I've developed a lot slower than my chronological age).

The first one I remember, I was 4... that was when I learned that some people don't like me.
Bit by bit, it's been torn away from me since then.

I miss it terribly.

I thought I lost it once I started high school, but I've heard that I am still pretty innocent, so maybe I haven't lost it completely.

If you mean, when did we first learn to hate from an experience - I was 6 and I had a bad teacher. She had a rep for being unable to cope with boys. She was okay if you were a girl.

I was 13-14 (during my 3rd year in a mainstream classroom.)

I think I'm still innocent. I had a very sheltered childhood, and so did my best friends. I'm always more affected than others by movies that show "common" things like bullying or being cheated or hard partying, because they're still foreign to me.

I've never hated anyone specifically, but I do hate the world's shallowness and intolerance sometimes...but not as a result of anything that personally happened to me.

In some ways I am still innocent, in others I feel as if I never was.
I also seem to cycle between cynicism and naivity on the same topic.
I remember reading a book called 'How To Regain Your Virginity' when I was a teenager and I think I could probably write one called 'How To Regain Your Innocence'
My innocence clock keeps getting reset.

I was about eight, and my brother and I watched our next door neighbour setting mousetraps baited with bread to catch the fledgeling blackbirds that had been raised in our garage and giving them to his dog to play with. To entertain his grandchildren. There was nothing I could do except sob.

My dad had left his car out of that garage, propped a window open so the parent birds could come and go, lifted us up so we could see the growing chicks - that horrible moment in the garden was my first encounter with the fact that not everybody loved and respected the natural world and the animals in it as much as my father did - as much as he taught me to.

(I later found out that this same family drowned their elderly fox terrier in their waterbutt because they weren't prepared to pay the vet's fee to euthanase her...)

I've lost my innocence, when I was in College. I've realized that a fellow student that I've really liked, was in fact, the biggest jerk, that I've ever come accrossed. He was nice to me, at first, but he was very nasty, at the end of the year. That's when I've decided, that I will never trust men, again. I do trust men, again but, it took me more than ten years. My attitude was very bad, during those ten years. I was very cold towards the male population, and I've kept them at a distance.

7. I was 7 and in second grade. I have partial memory block of the time because that was the year I was bullied at school and church by the same girl. Apparently I asked my parents if we could stop going to church and we did. I have no memory of that at all, I just remember not going anymore. The same year we did go to main service for Easter Sunday and learned that the church kept the tithes. I had been told in Sunday School that tithes went to the "MIssionaries in Africa". I got mad and said, "those liars!" and my Dad threatened to hit me right there.

LOL nice

For me, around when i was 6 or something, when I started masturbating, or maybe about 11 when I got addicted to porn. Thats also the same time I told my parents I hated them for the first time.

I lost my so-called "innocence" when I was seven, when my best friend Andy moved away, and my parents got divorced. I didn't have a best friend/connection like that until after high school again, and that was only fleeting.
