Okay, so NT kids can bully, talk loudly, act a fool and do whatever the heck they want (I witness this every day). Yet when a child with a disability does something harmless like singing while doing push-ups, he's hand-cupped like a criminal?

I've always had a feeling educators resented kids with disabilities for having the "nerve" to be in the same class as their precious "normal" students. So they take their hostility out on special needs students any way they can.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

No... i dont like that kind of sensation when it focused in such a small place... has to be wide area... i.e harnessing = wide area... mummy wrap = wide area... get the picture!

That's completely inexcusable... well, depending on how badly he sings. Are we talking Jim Morrison or more of a Rod Stewart? Hey, you have to draw the line somewhere. :)

some people would pay good money to be handcuffed by a female PE teacher..;)

How restricting hand movement would stop someone singing is beyond me.

That's what I was thinking!

It was stupid that the kid was handcuffed and dragged away for no reason, though I did always think it would be cool to "arrested" (in any way, shape or form) while I was in school, but not in 6th grade.

So they only do things like this if they feel that someone's showing signs that they'll be a threat to the 30 other student......singing?....Is his singing voice weapons-grade bad or something? I can't find the logic in this one either...

His voice might be so high pitched it may have shattered all the glass....

I don't get where this getting handcuffed by a female PE teacher is coming from. He was handcuffed and dragged out of the PE class by a Cop!! A cop in the school because he was singing, they asked him to stop-he didn't. He didn't understand why he was being singled out because the other kids were allegedly noisy too (shouting, etc). They asked him to leave 3 times and then the cop cuffed him and dragged him out.
Then the school suspended him.

Never in my life have I ever heard of anything so idiotic. Whatever happened to a little common sense? These administrators need to get a grip on reality and those parents should be looking in the yellow pages for a good lawyer.

Who wants to bet that whatever policy they had authorizing this bull was drawn up by some overpaid petty bureaucrat on the city payroll?

What, you people actually think he's viewed as a human being? To the teachers and the cops who took him out of class, he's just that something that makes weird noises and interrupts the other noises that the students are expected to make. They expect shouting and teasing and all that. But if someone goes "lalala", that's just too freaky. He isn't normal, so he doesn't matter.

So believe the few who actually do.
Really, though, my PE teacher was disgusting. But the student teacher, she was awwwwrite.
