I am afraid of hurting my family(not physically) but emotionally. They have been evil and hurtful in treating me.

:flower: Have you tried asking them how they are feeling? My son hurts me emotionally but I know he isn't to blame. He lacks empathy big time and just doesn't understand unless there are real big clues like crying.

They have been treating you badly and you're afraid to hurt them emotionally?

If you're old enough and can manage on your own, get out.

Don't sink to their level.

sorry ignore my advice for now if you haven't already.

I have no idea what your defintion or evil and hurtful is, how old you are or how you can cope outside your current environment.

It was a knee-jerk statement by me.

apologies.

I'm already out of there. But they keep torturing my younger brothers who in turn for the first time in a long time(after I moved out) have started talking to me and they have a hard time seeing that my parents are the problem and not me. Basically they are left with the option of either me(their older brother) or my parents...

do not try to turn your brothers against your parents. it is up to them to make that sort of decision. you forcing your opinion on them will not get their respect or understanding.......i realize that you have had a difficult time with your parents. you cannot assume that everyone else feels the same.

It really depends what's going on.. this situation sounds pretty serious.

it could be serious, but without enough details it's quite hard to say......could just be a misinterpretation of events, could be just a slight against the OP, could be really serious..............more details, please !
