Me, it is pointed out that I use intonation, wording, and facial expressions imitative of the character Gregory House. A useful guy because he completely flouts social niceties, and he uses comically exaggerated expressions anyway. Doesn't really help when I need a formal register though. I'll have to pick one of those up one of these days...

My friends call me Sid, because I'm exactly like him. I don't try to be like him. It just happens. I was imitating Austin Powers, ten years, ago. I used to imitate Boss Hog, when I was eight years old and Woody Woodpecker, at the age of seven.

i sometimes mimic the people around me.
except, i am white in a class full of black people three nights a week, now. so i have to be careful not to offend. if i start talking like i'm from north philly when everyone knows i'm not (and the swedish blood in me obvious) there will likely be Issues.
that said, leave me south with the biological family for twenty minutes and i'm talkin' suthern for awhile.

accent shift is EVIL if you're a language major...I can curse in Korean and order food but that is about it...but after hanging around them long enough...I talk really S_L_O_W_L_Y to everybody, and native english speakers think I"m ret*d or something...

I naturally pick up accents too. Have always been really good at voice and animal impressions.

Me too. I spent my last three years of school with a half Australian accent thanks to my best friend, and then within a week of being at Oxford it'd gone (replaced with tea and crumpets/BBC English which /no one/ speaks). I've got an Australian in one of my work groups now though so chances are it'll return.

I've always mimicked people as well, which irritates me to no end, but I can't stop it.

As for characters? Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist, but that's a run of from inside jokes and cosplaying.

I'm pretty good at impressions and accents, though I have to hear it straight from the source. I just can't make it up from the top of my head.

Alot of people who know me, told me I reminded them of Will, in Good Will Hunting. I seem to have lived a real-life, mirror image, of the character in the movie. It took me about a year before I actually watched the film, and I was quite surprised, when I finally did. The similarities were spooky. 8O

Come to think of it, I was told in high school that I have the mannerisms of Mr. Bean, before I'd even heard of him. It certainly isn't because I LOOK like him, and he's been listed on that thread of fictional characters who're possible aspies.

Oh boy, I could go for ages on this one! Just a few right now;

"Drat, Drat and Double Drat!" Dick Dastardly (when I was a kid)
"Hello" Eccles (The Goon Show)
"You rotten swine you!" Bluebottle (The Goon Show again)
(I can do most of the Goon voices)
"What?" (Stone Cold Steve Austin - yeah that's an easy one, but addictive!)
"No respect! Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo" Jabberjaw the Shark

And that's just off the top of my head. I can do a decent British accent although I have to do it falsetto. I can also do an American accent - y'all! :D

I started to imitate Gregory House, then moved onto 'L' from Death note and then went onto Monk. Now they have all got mixed together into some sort of character hybrid!

I imitate accents, noises and just about everything from movies.

Particularly,
I can talk like Donald Duck.
I can do good Doctor Who noises - daleks etc...
I can do good Hydraulics sounds.

My kids love it when I read books 'cos I use different voices and accents for different characters. Also, I do a lot of SFX when I read to them.
