I find when I get really stressed, running and pushing myself harder allows me to blow off alot of steam and frustration with life. Which makes me enojy it a hell of a lot moreis any one else as mad as me with this kind of thing?

Yes, I know precisely the stress relief you’re talking about. I run everywhere, unless someone is with me. I never need to park my car in the closest available spot, because the farther out in the parking lot my car is, the more I get to run - that’s how much I enjoy it. I feel like a running machine, compared to all the people who say that running is painful. I feel weightless when I do it. And it gets me where I need to go quickly - like magic. Yes, I love running.

Yes...running is a great stress reliever for me. It seems when I am stressed I can run for a lot longer than I usually can. When I am angry, I seem to run a lot faster...almost like I am skimming across air at times. The only problem with that is I seem to fall over my own feet after a short while. >_<

I hate running but I prefer swimming, especially at beaches (crappy weather here lately though) where I can improve on my strengthening of the arms and the legs more so than in a swimming pool or where it's fairly calm.

i do practise running because i severely need to get some base aerobic conditioning - but for reducing stress, nothing compares to working combinations on my heavy bag. :)

I love running, when I am running I feel at peace with myself, its just me and the road. No one to judge me or to make fun of me just the next turn and nature. (I like to run hikes, thats my favorite!!)

I’m more of a sprinter, and I don’t train per se, so I have no idea how much distance. If we had access to regulation tracks, I’d propose a virtual race.

I basically run anytime I’m outside, going somewhere by myself. I wear sandals without socks, year round, so right now that trip from the car to wherever I’m going would be pretty cold if I didn’t run. LOL. I previously said that I feel weightless when I do it. I really mean that I feel weightless immediately after doing it. I think I’ll be able to run for the rest of my life, as long as nothing happens that would cause me to lose balance.

I would love to run, but it hurts my feet. I prefer walking and swimming.

I try to run atleast twice a week but that rarely happens haha. Distance...each time I run it's probably about 2km so not very far at all. >_<

I try to run as often as I can, not always possible depending on situation. The smallest distance I go is 3 miles anything above that is better.

I would like to advance from walking to running. The only time I've actually run is for a half mile in the rain when no one else was around. Too intimidated. Walking, lifting weights and doing yardwork temporarily blows off steam, stress and anxiety.
