I feel like I've been out of the loop (so to speak) my entire life . . . is this just me?

They don't really resonate with me, so to speak.

But um, I do feel a slight connection to them.
I also taste bread when I read that, but that probably doesn't have to do with anything.
Hmm... bread... =/

I'm so used to being out of the loop that I'm actually uncomfortable with being included. That's why I appreciate it when my posts are seen as so odd that no one responds to them. Of course I could do a better job of responding to others'...

I'm out of The Loop, but I'm happily in my own loop.

Out of the loop means...? Being odd, not getting things like other people?

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I'm out of the loop on quite a few things, but I am glad to be out of the loop on those things. I am not a pop culture addict, for one thing.

Always. In fact I'm immediately suspicious of people when they try and bring me into the aforementioned loop. One joke at my expense too many, I fear.

Where is this "loop" you speak of?

In Chicago... And much like a social loop, it's a good idea to stay away from it if you're not familiar with the flow of traffic.

I am out of the loop and I like it. The more someone tries to include me in 'the loop', the more I want out. I end up finding things I wish I would have never known about people and things.

I feel you on that . . . personally, I've found that the few times that I've even been marginally in the loop were so exhausting that I was thankful for going back to my "backwards" little life.

I seem to be out of the memo loop at the office, which is odd considering I'm supposed to be in charge of the people handing out the memos *scratching head*

Otherwise, I find that I am painfully in every damned inconsequential loop. Remarked the other day that I wish I had a tattoo on my forehead that said "if I don't engage you in conversation f**k off."
