Hello to you all. I'm Shastania (or you can call me Sarah if you like). I found this site through the Wikipedia article on Asperger's Syndrome and figured it'd be a good place to chat with other like-minded folks.
As you can see from my location, I hail from the merry land of Guinness and leprechauns! I am soon to turn 20 in April.

Whilst I have'nt been formally diagnosed with Aspergers, both my family and my GP agree I show a high level of higher-functioning autism along with many symptoms of Aspergers. I first heard about the condition when I was 17 and believe me- it sure did explain a LOT!

Anyhoo, before I end up writing a giant wall of text, let me just say that it's lovely to meet you all and I hope to learn more about being an Aspie from the more knowledgable among us. :D

Welcome to WP.

Ah, Dublin. The Oirish city where the Guinness is dearer than in Britain and Romanian immigrants abound everywhere you look. I can take the Guinness but leave the diseased remnants personally. ;)

What are your interests Sarah? Anyway I hope you like it here.

Heh. Not much of a Guinness drinker to be honest- I prefer Miller beer or West Coast Coolers.
As far as interests go, I like to write fiction and draw, though these days I just can't get the creative juices follin'.
Still, it's best not to force it.

What do you like to draw? Anything in particular?

Helloto you too Shastania and welcome to WrongPlanet :D

NT stands for Neurotypical, and refers to anyone who isn't on the autistic spectrum (A normal person if you prefer)

I like writing, too. What I find that helps the so called "creative juices" is to simply sit down and write about whatever I am thinking about at the time. It usually ends up turning into a 10 page rant though haha. Although sometimes, something that I write gives me an idea of what I can write about in a "real" story...and then I go from there. Nowadays, I mainly write poetry, though.
I hope you enjoy posting here.

Hi Sarah.

Curious about the name, have you got it from a book or something?

About the beer, a couple of months ago I spent some money on Kilkenny's. That's also nice beer.

But welcome to this forum!
