Before I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, I thought politicians' and religious fundamentalists' dichotomous us-against-them rhetoric was hilarious because it was so nonsensical yet surprisingly many people went along with it. When I discovered the Internet-based aspie and autistic community, I discovered the concept of the NT, or NeuroTypical, and a common sentiment of hatred towards these people, who are over 99% of the human population. The thought that someone would hate probably nearly everyone they've ever encountered only because they did not share a diagnosis was the source of grand hilarity in my mind. Needless to say, I couldn't resist putting it to parody. I made posts further villifying the NT host, implied all of NTness wishes to destroy us, and called my fellow Aspergonauts to arms.

Somehow I doubt most aspies are as receptive to unapologetically divisive rhetoric in the same way that your typical NeuroTypical is filled with a kaleidoscope of emotions when informed of the dangers of the Islamic radical in the neighborhood convenience store or the godless atheist bent on turning us all into Nietzsche's god-killers. Somehow I doubt such pointless warmongering fills you all with the desire to burn down various and sundry buildings and to spit on the ugly face of the sworn enemy. You feel only as if you have been trolled.

Is there no place for blatant demagoguery in our community? Please assure me there is hope yet for our People, that we may someday be led down the foolish path, blinded by a visceral hatred.

You have no answer for "no" on the poll.

NeantHuman does not seem to know about the history of hatred against people who are mentally different.

Nope, can't access that many levels of sarcasm. Doesn't compute.

There's always a place for the sweet smell of psychosis.

this is a loaded question...judging from the responses...;)
No...I don't see it at all. Being the only AS I know personally, I can't say people have seized on it, or even know about it.

There is no hope of ANY kind. Please take two of your purple pills and re-post in the morning. Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

I don't hate people. I might hate what they do, but hate people for being different than me? I don't have it in me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I only hate NTs because they hate me.

It's a photo of a British author called Will Self. Look him up.

I read the Wikipedia article about him, and I still don't get what a picture of some literary druggie has to do with this thread.
