One completely strange girl came up to me in the hall at school when I was in grade 9 and asked me if I had lice. (I haven't had lice since once when I was 4.)

My mother said I was incapable of or had a hard time with understanding what people felt or that they had feelings or something.

I, apparently, have something called the "hot hiccuping hippo hippie herpes".

That's on the bathroom wall.

I was told I'd have to spend the rest of my life in an institution.

Arrogant. And the reason I find this insult horrible is because my self-esteem is so fragile.

My dad at first told me to shut up complaining that I didn't have 20/20 vision (and was therefore not "perfect") because according to him very few people do, but then he perseverated on my vision, sometimes making fun of it in a good-natured way and sometimes in a ha-ha-I'm-physically-perfect-and-you're-not way, and once when a phone rang and I wasn't paying attention he said "You can't see and now you can't hear either." He empathized with the Nazis because they wanted a healthier, smarter, prettier, more perfect race and he seemed to want that too.

"Are you even human?"

The words alone wouldn't bother me, because sometimes I don't think I am, but the context in which he said them were hurtful.

My dad has called me: b***h, as*hole, mentally ill, said I was acting/sounding schizophrenic when I got upset at his comment about me not paying attention and not being able to see or hear, he has insulted my intelligence for his amusement several times and done it to my mother many, many times.

My mother would brag about how much more mature she was when she was my age. If she did it in a fun joking way that's cool. But she did it in a hoity-toity snobbish way and sounded miserable when she said it.

My mother called me a nasty person once, which hurt.
This boy at school called me a 'penguin' because of my nose.

My mother calling me a 'dirty slut' at a time when I was depressed and not washing much.
