I thought it was okay. It seemed to be focus a lot on the parents. Now I was under the assumption it was about the kids. While it did have many parts involving only the kids, it seemed it really emphasized the parents trouble. Don't get me wrong, it's probably very hard to raise a child with a disability ( no experience in that department here), but it seemed like the show was marketed to be about the kids and much of what i saw was parents saying "it's hard".
I loved the parts with the kids. Especially the bit where the one kid, Wyatt(SP), talked about the whole going into their own world. It was a very interesting movie.
One part that i was confused with, was the whole incident NewportBeachDude mentioned. I never heard her say they were going to cut the act, for what i saw they were doing the dress rehearsal and were saving time by not completely doing the entire show, just sort of skimming threw it. Maybe im wrong but i never thought it was the directors intention to cut the act. Guess I'll have to watch that part again ( Love TIVO). IMO the mother over-reacted, given the fact that the act wasn't being cut ( if it was being cut i think the reaction was warranted.
Another thing i liked was when the one father said that, in his opinion, many familys break up because the one parent is excessively preoccupied with the child. The marriage becomes all about the child instead of the family as a whole.
