Country, because there isn't much creativity.

There are only two topics, infidelity and pickup trucks.

In general the musical genres I hate are those that are exclusively upbeat(like Jazz and Ska), or those that actively strive for authenticity(grunge, folk, and country to some extent).

- Disco
- Techno
- Showtunes
- 99.9% of all rap (the only rap I really like is M.I.A.)
- Bubblegum pop
- Whatever the hell Prussian Blue is
- "Scene" music (e.g. Senses Fail, Further Seems Forever and other such pretentiously-named bands)
- Muzak/lite rock

The genres I'm passionate about are rock, hardcore, punk, hip-hop, pop, metal... I can't be bothered to go on.

But even in the genres I dislike, there's some stuff I like.

Manufactured pop - a good deal of boy bands, especially Take That, have a number of great songs.
Jazz - John Coltrane.
Classical - I'm getting into Prokofiev and Gershwin.

Hmm... I don't hate any style of music as a whole becuase it's dumb to just paint it all with one brush.

I can't stand country and most kinds of rap. I also have never aquired a taste for punk rock despite my sister listening to it all the time a couple of years ago.

haha, jazz covers so much as a genre. I bet most of you who write it off have not even heard most of the styles it contains.

Oooh let's see...

  • Happy Hardcore
  • Gangsta Rap
  • Whatever genre that awful Soulja Boy is
  • Manufactured Reality TV pop

There are plenty of other genres that don't interest me, but are not annoying enough to waste hate on.
