I haven't actually been following Age of Conan at all. What kind of Class/Skill structure does it use? And how many players do they require for raiding? I always preferred the smaller 20 mans in WoW over the 40 mans, never played much post BC so I never had a level 70.
Classes are as followd:
-Tanks Archetype: Guardian(super-full-plate-tank), Conquerer(aura-buffer), and Dark Templar(heavy melee magic user)
-Rogue Archetype: There are also Barbarians(2 axes RAWR), Assassins(does it from behind\poisons), and Rangers(bow dudes) being your psysical dps classes.
-Mage Archetype: Necromancer(raises undead), Demonologist(warlock-esque), and Herald of Xotli(melee caster).
-Priest archetypes are Tempest of Set(mage\healer), and Bear Shaman(melee\healer) and Priest of Mitra (super-healer\debuffer class).
Skills are gained through advancing levels and gaining feats (like talents in WoW, you can respec too).
Also, there are prestige classes: Lord, Master, Commander, and Crafter.
-Lords place guild keeps and halls, give xp bonuses to ALL guild members, can be an Architect or Alchemist.
-Commanders can make battle tactics plans (for hired npc guards I'd imagine), and can allow for more people to be in a single group (up to 10 as opposed to the normal 6 max player per group). Commanders can be Weaponsmiths.
-Masters have a little squire that follows them around helping them or harvesting resources when you're logged out. They can be Armorsmiths.
-Crafters can craft anything (gemcutting being the 5th craft).
-All prestige classes also give a bonus to wood\ore\etc gathering to ALL guild members depending on your prestige class.
For now, 10 people(that's with 4 commanders) seems to be the biggest group for regular questing\dungeons, but I read somewhere 24 players will be the max in an endgame raid group (which would be about 2 per class). I loved the 25man raids in WoW, but the bosses were too easy compared to old world 40-man raids.
